I have to talk about Papri. I met this spunky young girl teaching at the Art School in Santiniketan, her talent languishing. I was excited and we planned and plotted and she made some lovely sarees for me. She got me super stuff from across the border. This has to be an apology post. I was new to the business. I was not aware of the system of tagging and hashtags. Inadvertently I took all the credit which actually belonged to her.

Her creations came at a price. I was eager to pay for the same as I wanted nothing but the best. For many reasons my cash flow went askew and unable to clear her accounts, some misunderstandings later we parted ways. My bad always.

This is a tribute to this girl and my way of saying sorry. Better late than never. I daresay my journey into the world of Bangladeshi Dhakais, Organic dyes, Nakshi kantha is thanks largely to her.
