My first coffee table book. An assignment for the Times of India for Genius Placement Consultants.
I began unraveling the story of this Company and found a man who is an icon. An unsung hero. From Bihar he came to Calcutta at the age of 8 years. He had a dream to do something on his own. Started Genius. The first cheque of Rs 1200 has many zeroes appended and the Company is today worth Rs 1500 crores.
Mr R P Yadav has singlehandedly founded and grown this Company. He hasn’t forgotten his humble beginnings and attributes his success to good karma. He is self effacing and what astounded me was the unconditional love his employees had for him. They are proud members of the Genius family

Indeed a role model. Mine for sure!

The lady who initiated this Sharmita Datta ultimately understood that I was old and forgetful and forgave my mistakes with names.

The ethos of this company is chips. Computer , yes but large bowls of the potato ones. Am terribly spoilt as is Sharmita.

The book was launched today and we had a banquet feast. When I got the invite I was assured ” no chips”

All in all. What a man!
