This is to introduce Pastconnect Talks, a literary event jointly organized by Ownthepast and Pastconnect, and supported by Mahanirban Calcutta Research Group. Scheduled for the 7th March of 2026 in Kolkata, it is the first of a series being planned annually. Through this initiative of hosting presentations and discussions of literary writings, the event intends to bring to wider notice- less-heard voices, not often talked about events, untold experiences and overlooked regions.

OwnthePast-Past to the Future founded by Vibha Mitra to “Value our inheritance and critically re-use the past.” The mission of the initiative is to build pride in and build collective appreciate for antecedents. It undertakes heritage walks and organizes book discussions and talks.

Pastconnect.net run by Tapti Roy, is a Story Blog that publishes real life stories from all over the world of people living through different experiences. They mark the importance of preserving personal stories and the significance of memory and oral history in recovering many pasts.
